This course is an introductory class in quantitative methods in the M.Sc. program.

The course introduces students to the analysis of quantitative data in political science research. You have three goals in this course:
  • to improve your understanding of quantitative data presented in academic and non-academic publications;
  • to learn how to plan and execute the analysis of relationships between variables in quantitative data, in particular through regression analyses;
  • and to improve your proficiency in communicating quantitative information.

The course draws on algebraic notation and requires basic mathematical skills, but has no formal prerequisites.
