Examining is one of the core tasks of university teachers. But what is a professional examination and how can I optimize my own performance as an examiner? These questions are dealt with in this course by looking at important aspects of planning, conducting, and grading examinations. The focus of this course is on written and oral exams.
The participants are asked to bring the module description of one of their courses as well as the corresponding exam (e.g. an exam of last semester including the sample solution).
The course consists of an attendance phase (8 units, 07.07.20) and e-learning elements (4 units), which have to be prepared individually before the course. The e-learning elements include reading certain texts, watching videos and completing tasks in Moodle in the time window from 16.06. to 06.07.
This course is equivalent to the German course "Prüfungen als Spiegel der Lehre”.
