Learning outcomes –

After taking up this course, you will be able to

1.     Understand how the databases work and create your own MySQL database

2.     Work with DML and DDL commands

3.     Understand MySQL queries and sub-queries with their flow of execution

4.     Use various MySQL functions for manipulating data

5.     Use MySQL queries to carry out complex mathematical calculations

6.     Integrate MySQL with frameworks like Node.js/Python

Course Organisation 

The lectures are divided into modules and each module will roughly take one to two weeks to get completed. All the lectures comprise hands-on exercises where the students will be able to learn by practically implementing their gained knowledge of each topic of the module.

Evaluation

The exam will test the ability to write queries and display the required results. Command over the various DDL and DML function will prove to be a very important skill. Manipulation of data as per the desired results will be required.
