Most problems that are discussed in introductory lectures (Hydrogen atom, two-body problems, square well potentials,...) are oversimplified when compared to physical reality ("Spherical horses in a vacuum"). In practice, very often numerical treatments are necessary. These pose a lot of problems, some of them rather unexpected. Building on the methods learned in CP1, we apply them to various physical problems.
