The seminar is divided into two parts: The first part focuses on the necessary knowledge on the subject "Management of small software-oriented start-up companies". This is accomplished by a structured overview of key concepts for success in running a software-oriented company.

Students can then apply this knowledge in the second part, in which teams of 3-4 members are formed. Together in these teams, students will work together to create a viable business plan for a software-oriented company. This plan will be presented first in the intermediate presentations, where important feedback is presented. Then, the polished business idea is presented in the final presentations, which accounts for the the significant majority of the final grade received.
