Dear fellow students,

You are cordially invited to the Student Plenary Meeting Informatics Student Council!

Date: tomorrow, 31.10.2013

Time: 10:00 - 12:00 o'clock

Location: MI HS01 (https://nav.tum.de/building/5602)

And it will be live-streamed via TUMLive (https://live.rbg.tum.de/course/2023/W/fvvin)

Language: English

You can find the slides afterwards in our Moodle course (https://www.moodle.tum.de/course/view.php?id=95211)

"As we gather the strength of our student body, we recognize that our combined voices can bring about positive change and lasting impact. With a vibrant community of 8500 students, we have the potential to shape the future of our university and create an environment where every voice is heard." ~ChatGPT (thanks, buddy, sounds way better than what I could compose)

Joking aside, most of us are in the 5th semester and higher. Because of Corona, a hole has been created in the succession of the informatics student council, which you have to fill. Otherwise, this student council will soon cease to exist, and no one can be a lobbyist for the students.

Topics:

  • introduction to informatics student council
  • announcement of the semester speaker elections
  • mensa garching will soon be a study room in the afternoon
  • 29€ ticket: drive across Germany for 350€ a year
  • TVStud collective bargaining agreement for research assistants
  • study subsidies and fees (non-EU students regulation explained)
  • overload of counselling opportunities in informatics
  • 1000+ project week (8.-12. January 2024)
  • awareness and privacy protection
  • upcoming events
  • questions
  • short teaser for the MPIC presentation in the MI Magistrale

And whatever else comes to my mind :)

Please join this plenary meeting and actively participate in shaping our school's future. Your opinions, ideas, and concerns are paramount, and this is the perfect forum to voice them.

Your voice matters, and we look forward to seeing you there.

On behalf of your Student Council Informatics,

Thomas Dietrich

Speaker of the informatics student council

(fsinfo@fs.tum)

PS: I am also a student like you. Procrastination is real. You see the time of this mail. Bear with me tomorrow. I do this voluntarily and free of charge for you :)

Please support my work by joining our attempt at a concise and engaging speech.
